This iconic coffee table was originally designed in 1959 by the Danish furniture designer, Arne Hovmand-Olsen, who was well known for his innovative, Scandinavian style furniture design. From the very start, the coffee table was known as ‘Surfboard, a word that sums up the design perfectly. The length of the tabletop is a real plus when many people are seated on a sofa. The Surfboard coffee table makes its mark with its high quality and a design that testifies to the designer’s love of wood.
The coffee table is also available with an elegant shelf in solid wood and French wicker, which adds an extra dimension to the iconic design, which has been known as the Surfboard from the very beginning.
BRAND HIGHLIGHT
Warm Nordic was founded by Frantz Longhi and looks after the design heritage of internationally known icons such as Hans Olsen, Knud Færch, Svend Aage Holm-Sørensen, Arne Hovmand-Olsen, Jo Hammerborg and Hans-Agne Jakobsson. Contemporary designers include Charlotte Høncke, Studio Føy, Isabel Ahm, Welling/Ludvik and Rikke Frost, among many others.
