Seat and back-rest in upholstered plywood. Upholstery can be specified from a wide range of fabrics and leathers.
Scapula is the anatomical name for the shoulder blade, and the chair reads that way: a single rounded back pad carried on a timber frame that opens outward like a pair of shoulders. It is made in solid American walnut or ash, with the seat and back upholstered over plywood, and covered in velvet, chenille or bouclé from the Ceccotti range or in the client's own material.

At the core of David/Nicolas' practice is an essential duality. The creative spark between designers David Raffoul and Nicolas Moussallem is derived from a delicate balance: between imagination and stoic logic; unbounded creativity and practical research; a curiosity about the future and a deep respect for the past.The pair met while studying architecture at the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts in 2006 and founded their studio in 2011.
