Milan Design Week returns each year as a pilgrimage for those who believe that a piece of furniture is never merely functional, it is an idea made tangible.
The energy of Salone del Mobile 2026 carried a particular resonance this spring, driven by the year's theme: A Matter of Salone. Materials as the genesis of design - stone, petal, wood, sponge - became a lens through which we encountered the familiar afresh.
What inspired us most was the focus on craft, longevity and design. We've curated a selection of pieces that captured this, each one destined for the Tollgard showroom in London... stay tuned.
Bieke Castelyn - Clover Coffee Table
We've long admired Bieke Casteleyn's refusal to over-explain. Her new coffee table 'Clover' carries that conviction forward - a study in what materials want to be, unadorned. The form is sculptural without claiming to be art; the materials speak for themselves. It's the kind of piece that settles into a room and only reveals itself with time.

Pieter Maes's Bracci armchair is a study in the language of embrace. The designer continues his exploration of sculptural seating with this piece, where the delicately curved backrest gathers leather naturally at its centre, as though inviting the body to settle in. Built around a solid oak frame in Coal brushed finish, with Lenis Amber leather, the Bracci exemplifies the kind of emotional restraint that marks excellent design.

Jeroen de Ruddere - FL5 Floor Lamp
The FL5 is a sculptural wooden floor lamp that unites the strength of nature with refined contemporary sensibility. De Ruddere's signature approach - drawing inspiration from the organic world, then distilling it into pure geometric form is evident throughout. The tree-trunk-inspired silhouette feels both solid and elegant, a balance that defines his practice. Available in Brutal Oak, Gentle Oak, Mahogany, and American Walnut.

The Volta modular sofa for Linteloo is designed on the principle of a continuous arch, gentle curves that embrace those gathered within. Each module forms part of an architectural whole that can be extended, opened, or made more intimate according to need.

LEMA's Vega coffee table represents the Italian maker's commitment to refined proportion and material expression. The piece anchors a living space through its confident geometry and careful use of wood or stone.

Ceccotti Collezioni - Eugene Armchair
DRAW Studio's Eugene Armchair for Ceccotti Collezioni caught us early and held our attention. A reinterpretation of mid-century form, it channels the rounded shapes and enveloping comfort of 1950s and '60s design through a decidedly contemporary lens. The construction is quietly rigorous, circular in plan, grounded on a solid wood cross base, with a generous round seat.

Naoto Fukasawa's Bosco armchair for Molteni&C is Inspired by the gentle hills of Tuscany. The chair's soft, generous volume and subtly divided contours echo the rhythms of landscape. The form favours continuity, shaping a compact silhouette that feels stable, protective, and calm.

Poltrona Frau - Stock 'n' Roll Dressing Table
We've fallen for the Stock 'n' Roll Dressing Table by Sebastian Herkner. It's a piece that doesn't try too hard, an exquisitely proportioned form in curved beech and soft Pelle Frau leather. Open it, and you find an interior quietly ready for ritual.

Designed by Staffan Tollgård & Filippo Castellani, the Heiko chair for Riva 1920 exemplifies the marriage of clean, understated design with refined execution. A solid wood frame defined by architectural clarity is balanced by soft curves and rounded cylindrical sections. This is design that knows its purpose and serves it with dignity.

De Castelli - Dorica Sideboard
We've long admired De Castelli's ability to turn metal into poetry. The Dorica Sideboard is a perfect example - inspired by the fluting of classical columns, it becomes a sculptural presence in any room. The concave slats catch the light beautifully in that signature De Fauvé finish, while practical shelving hides inside.

Established & Sons - Layup Lounge Chair
Nathan Martell's collaboration with Established & Sons explores the evolving possibilities of 3D veneer formin, a technique that allows complex sculptural silhouettes to emerge from layered wood construction. What appears as a single, sinuous form is in fact a multi-part moulded veneer assembly, seamlessly joined. British design pushing the boundaries of what wood can become.

The Kawa series designed by Staffan Tollgård & Filippo Castellani reimagines the side table through a studied dialogue between top and base. Compact, round or rectangular surfaces sit atop asymmetrical supports - vertical elements offset beneath to create a dynamic interplay of solid and void.

Keep an eye out for some of these pieces to arrive in our London showroom soon. Experience them in person - to understand not just the thinking, but the making.

A MATTER OF SALONE: 21 - 26 APRIL
Each year Milan brings together the ideas, materials, and makers shaping the future of design.

We’re thrilled to welcome the new V4 Kitchen from Vipp to our Belgravia showroom - and trust us, it’s worth seeing up close.
With the V4, Vipp reimagines the kitchen as the true heart of the home: where timeless design meets honest materials and durability that doesn’t flinch at real life. Think beautifully engineered steel, tactile surfaces, and craftsmanship that’s built not just to impress, but to endure.

With more than eight decades of experience in metal craftsmanship, Vipp has designed the V4 to age gracefully and take daily wear in its stride, made for years of cooking, clattering, gathering and living. This isn’t just a kitchen, it’s a steadfast companion to everyday life, wrapped in very good design.

Softened corners, a worktop folded from a single sheet of steel, and welds so precise they practically disappear - it’s the kind of metal mastery Vipp has quietly perfected over decades. Sculptural yet unfussy, seamless yet strong, the rounded profiles bring a touch of softness to the steel, proving that great craftsmanship doesn’t shout - it simply shines!

Four kitchens, one modular concept
Since 1939, every new Vipp product has been born from the same dream; to manufacture long-lasting tools for everyday life.
Vipp kitchens are no different. At its heart, the Vipp kitchen is a modular concept - a series of precisely engineered units designed to slot together seamlessly. Flexible, functional and beautifully resolved, it’s a kitchen that adapts to the rhythm of daily life while holding its own as a piece of enduring design.
Discover the full collection of Vipp kitchens.

Another feature for Studio Aristotelis Barakos. The latest edition of Elle Decoration sees Aristotelis Barakos highlighted, amongst other design stars such as Thomas Heatherwick, as the focus is on distinct, atmospheric lighting.

Lighting plays a major role in creating character within a space. As ELLE outlines in the article, it's in these winter months that lighting becomes the star of the show and everyone scrambles to find the perfect glow. It's because of the instrumental impact that lighting has, that Tollgard only partners with brands that embody a true passion for creating artisan, high quality and something a bit out of the ordinary, so it's no wonder that Studio Aristotelis Barakos is one of our favourite brands.

The article touches on Barakos' unassuming journey into the lighting design industry, to the Studio's partnership with Tollgard. However, the main spotlight is on the unparallel quality and fostering of craftsmanship that Barakos instils in his studio.

Discover the full Studio Aristotelis Barakos collection here

The Sandycove Sectional by Man of Parts, features in Living Etc, October 2025 edition.
Titled as an 'Up-and-Comer' sofa "it’s this connection between nature and structure that makes the piece an emerging design icon worth paying attention to.”

Discover the Sandycove Sectional here or visit our Belgravia showroom to see the Sandycove in person at the exclusive showcase of Man of Parts, before the installation concludes this December.

It's always such a pleasure to see our partner brands featured in print! November's issue of Homes & Gardens featured the charming and charismatic Théros Ceramic Edition Small light by Studio Aristotelis Barakos.

Studio Aristotelis Barakos brings together storytelling and craftsmanship, merging modern elegance with a respect for heritage. Collaborating with a network of skilled artisans, each piece is handmade from carefully chosen, high-quality materials, designed to achieve enduring beauty. Based on the concept of the Théros family of lighting objects, ceramicist Giannis Zois was commissioned to reinterpret the lighting objects using materials and techniques of his own craft.

The lamps' sweet figures evoke in all their simplicity the image of a person in the sun, narrating a timeless story of peaceful holidays basking in soothing, milky sunlight. The deep red colour of the ceramic bases is a reference to terracotta, a material that is widespread around the Mediterranean, and therefore was a natural addition to the project.

Tying together the exclusive UK launch of Man of Parts, featuring some of the most recent and innovative pieces from A-N-D, Indigenus and Rakumba, a collection of Peter Weber's iconic art works will be on display. Weber's work further transforms the Tollgard, Belgravia showroom into an enchanting world of sculptural elegance and tactile storytelling.
Explore these masterful pieces in person, being completely transported into an art and design haven and come visit the pop-up at our Belgravia showroom from the 12th September to 18th December.
Discover more about the artist and his process below.
Peter Weber was born in 1944 in Kollmar/Elbe, Germany. He lives and works near Munich, Germany and in Vignale / Monferrato, Italy

"The folding material is transformed from a flat surface into a three-dimensional, architectonic structure, which, when unfolded, glides back into a flat relief. It is the idea of wholeness that fascinates and entices me to persevere to the limits of what is technically feasible in order to resolve the problems connected with the complex structure.”

Using the most varied techniques and materials, Peter Weber has developed a system for folding the entire surface of a single piece of material without cutting it. His folded works of undyed or dyed felt, which has been Weber’s dominant material since 2001, exhibit a strong materiality. Discover more about the artist and his process below.
The pieces in this show called “Vernetzung” show clearly how complex a pure folding is. In addition to felt and paper, Weber also uses materials such as handmade paper, canvas, cotton, high-dense polyethylene and even steel. In late 2017, he created his first folded steel reliefs.

Weber's work, perfectly ties together and echoes the collection of furniture that will be on display throughout the exclusive UK launch of Man of Parts. From Rakumbas, Big Glow, the felted lights made from Australian wool and plant-based compostable fibre, reflecting Weber's use of soft materials, to Man of Parts' Via Bernina Round table, which mimics the strong graphic forms which Weber's work transforms into.
See Peter Weber's mesmirising artwork, along with MAN of PARTS' exclusive UK show case at the Tollgard Belgravia showroom from 12th September - 18th December.

In addition to Tollgard's upcoming, exclusive UK launch of MAN of PARTS, where a world of sculptural elegance and tactile storytelling will be in store, the Tollgard space will be further enhanced, by exhibiting some of the most recent and innovative pieces from A-N-D, Indigenus and Rakumba.
This pop up exhibition, will be curated at Tollgard's Belgravia showroom from 12th September - 18th December.
Delve further into the ingenuity of these brands and be sure to come visit us at our Belgravia showroom to experience these designs come to life.
A-N-D
A-N-D investigates new design possibilities using innovative production methods while integrating the most current technologies in lighting. The result of that exploration puts forward honest products that transcend time and place. In pursuit of the visually poetic, they are inspired by the unexpected and the everyday; compelled by the capacity of light to shape and animate space.

Pace is derived from the notion of rhythm, tempo, and repetition. The interplay of light and material is evident in the gradients and reflections which occur as illumination passes through its consecutive layers of glass. Thin and lightweight yet voluptuous and stackable, the Pace series is an exemplary exercise of sinuous form. This piece will be on display throughout the full duration of the exhibition.
Indigenus
Each one of Indigenus’ creations is meticulously crafted – smooth, clean lines are drawn from raw, honest materials of hardwood, cork and concrete. A recognisable aesthetic runs through each collection created by Indigenus. Designs are strikingly pared-back and restrained, with bold, simple silhouettes contrasting against tactility and earthiness. Underpinned by a deep knowledge of both landscape design and plant care and maintenance, Indigenus’ planters are not only aesthetically uplifting, they are also crafted to be lightweight and easily transportable, with removable linings and water reservoirs to ensure they function beautifully too.

The Petra has proven to be the most complex design to bring to life. It is eclectic, pushing the boundaries of what Indigenus has previously created. The result is a far more demanding aesthetic and ultimately a disruptive design for a planter. Petra is designed for interiors, exteriors, hospitality, residential, and corporate settings. It works well as individual statement pieces and is striking when grouped.
Sebastian Herkner, was inspired by all the aspects, elements and shades he encountered across so many areas. The Aarde (which means earth) is a representation of this; of the layering that exists culturally, demographically and in the nature and light of Africa.
This piece will be on display throughout the full duration of the exhibition.
Rakumba
From an engineering viewpoint, Rakumba describes its design ethos as ‘effortless complexity’. Under the skin, they strive for products that are technically advanced and bring unexpected performance, whilst remaining intuitive, meticulously detailed and visually uncompromising.

Designed by Studio Truly Truly for Rakumba, Big Glow redefines lighting for the modern era. Its groundbreaking design marries luxurious Australian wool with plant-based compostable fibre, creating a luminaire that’s as eco-friendly as it is beautiful. Supported by Woolmark, this innovative collection showcases the versatility of wool whilst elevating the archetypal glowing sphere.
