Cloud is the quieter reading of Tateyama. Taking away the side tables and the belt that carried them leaves a single continuous volume, and the split in the backrest becomes the piece's one incident — the thing that stops a three-metre sofa from closing a room off. Seat and backs are an intricate plywood structure: elasticated webbing under varying layers of non-deformable foam on the seat, hand-carved foam on the backs, lined and upholstered in Secolo's fabrics and leathers or a customer's own material. The continuous MDF base is painted in a metallic effect finish, with felt glides. Upholstery non-removable. Supplied assembled. Three widths: 250, 275 and 300 cm.
