The Solaria seating system is a modular outdoor sofa collection offering multiple seating configurations by combining bases, backrests, armrests, and optional back cushions in various freestanding or modular sofas, armchairs, and chaise lounge modules.

Comfort and master craftsmanship typical of Italian design. Available with two or three seats, with end or corner elements, the outdoor sofas are modular and, thanks to the option of adding backrests and armrests, allow for a variety of configurations: linear or island. For furnishing gardens, poolside areas, terraces or decks in both residential and contract settings.
The structure is made of powder-coated lacquered stainless steel, supported by narrow feet. The armrests and backrest, also made of stainless steel, are covered with a handmade rope weave, with a pattern that thickens at the top and bottom. The padded elements are removable and covered with outdoor fabric soft to the touch. The outdoor cushions are designed to allow water to drain away, meaning that the sofas dry quickly and can be supplemented with other optional cushions to give extra support to the backrest. The system is part of Solaria, a collection designed by Ludovica Serafini + Roberto Palomba for Poltrona Frau Boundless Living Outdoor Collections.

Roberto Palomba and Ludovica Palomba Serafini, architects and designers, have been working together since 1994. After graduating in architecture at the University of Rome, they founded the Palomba e Serafini Associated Studio, based in Verona. The Studio deals primarily with architecture, design, art direction, communications and marketing consulting.
