Silo takes the two ordinary parts of a dining table — a base and a top — and lets them answer each other. The top is a broad, shallow cone meeting a cylinder of the same lacquered material, so weight and lightness read as one continuous form rather than a surface resting on legs. The base is machine-cut MDF and plywood layers, hand finished under a heavy lacquer, hollow around a steel support structure to which the top connects directly. The top is machine-cut, hand-finished MDF, also heavily lacquered. Base and top are specified independently in matte or high gloss and in any RAL colour, so the two can match or deliberately contrast. Felt glides. Some assembly required. Three sizes: 135, 155 and 175 cm square, all 72 cm high. Compatible with a lazy Susan.
