The Prince Pendant gets its look by layering shape, color, and transparency in handblown glass. A curvy double-ellipsoid outer glass diffuser is rendered in transparent colored glass, and it embraces an inner cylindrical diffuser of opaque glass. The opaque glass glows through the vibrant transparent glass. The effect is gorgeous and demure.
The pendant stem transitions above the glass into a decorative metal profile. Available in multiple profile options, glass color combinations, and brass hardware finishes. Part of the SkLO + AvroKO collection – a collaboration between SkLO and the AvroKO Partners.
BRAND HIGHLIGHT
SkLO began in 2009 in a small town in the wine country of Northern California. The three founders felt a synergy when they first met, and SkLO reflects each of their different backgrounds and abilities. Pavel has a long history of working with the glassblowing tradition of his native Czech Republic. His love for and intuitive understanding of Czech glassblowing is the driving force behind the brand. Karen’s practice as a craft artist and jeweler has always had a focus on glass as a material, and she brings her point-of-view about the relationship between craft and design. Paul is a designer with an architect’s belief in simplicity and honesty in design. Together, they are dedicated to working within – and preserving – the Czech glassblowing tradition.
