Moonstone began as an imagined journey to an uncontaminated planet of rocky forms — chunks of brass, crystal and stone interacting in a creative frenzy, surreal shapes cast out from a lunar landscape and brought back to Earth. Each piece emits a soft open flow of light downwards while its outer surface stays opaque, so the faceted silhouette turns sculptural when the beams catch it. The linear chandelier sets three of the forms along a single canopy, stepped so no two hang at the same height. It follows the length of a dining table or an island, and because each piece is a different shape the run stays irregular rather than reading as a repeated row. Handmade fibreglass with a marble-dust finish, and thermoformed glass with a hand-made Battuto finish, on brushed brass, brushed bronze, blackened brass or brushed nickel.
