Dawn and sunset are moments loaded with intensity and charm: a flow of light always in transformation, which oscillates in its intensity and colour. Light&Shade immortalises the precise time of the day in which the clear sky is reflected in a calm sea. Available in copper, brass and stainless steel, these large wall sconces conceal their light source, which softly radiates from the circumference to create soft ambient lighting, acting as a decorative element.
Decorative applique characterized by two overlapping metal sheets with light sources distributed on the perimeter and between the two sheets. It has an integrated fixing system with three different fixing positions and is shipped disassembled for indoor use.
BRAND HIGHLIGHT
Contemporary design is fundamental to De Castelli, and the company has created its own collections of furniture and products in collaboration with some of the world’s leading designers. Bookcases, storage units, tables, chairs and lighting are shaped in hammered brass, mottled copper, weathered steel and délabré brass. Working closely with architects and designers on bespoke commissions, as well as offering finishes and furniture for domestic use to consumers, De Castelli’s stated aim is to “bend metal to the requirements of different spaces and uses, to shape it to the tastes and desires of a sophisticated and demanding clientele”.

Born in Bergamo in 1980, she graduated with honours in industrial design in 2005 from the Politecnico di Milano and began working as a designer, focusing on the furniture market. Her experience and training are multifaceted and have led her to range from product design to graphics, spaces, showrooms and stands for major Italian furniture brands.
