On a midsummer night the designers were walking in a park, and their attention caught on small shining dots in the grass at their feet — dewdrops hanging from blades of grass, hit by the moonlight. Dewdrops is the abstraction of that: a balancing mobile that suspends drops of light in the air. The circular composition turns the mobile in on itself: five drops hung at different heights from a brass armature that reads as a line drawing in the air. It is a compact piece, and it works where a conventional chandelier would feel heavy — over a round table, or in a stairwell where it will be seen from more than one level. Hand-blown borosilicate glass spheres on a hand-finished or electroplated brass structure, each with an LED inside that reverberates through the glass. Two further spotlights are hidden inside the brass cones and throw an indirect light upwards. Metal in brushed brass, brushed bronze, blackened brass or brushed nickel; glass transparent or blushed mist. 2700K warm white, CRI>90, dimmable by phase cut, switch, 1-10V or DALI. IP20. Lead time 12 working weeks. One size: 75 x 50 x 102 cm high, with five LED glass drops and two LED upspots, 30W and 3030 lumens.
