Bruma is Italian for mist, and the collection began with a still winter day — a soft haze arriving slowly until it had enveloped everything. The glass is worked by hand using the cast glass technique into semi-transparent modules with a slightly raw texture, like thin condensations hanging in the air.
Dense packs the modules close together, so the piece reads as one body of mist rather than scattered fragments. Hung horizontally, it sits well over a dining table or an island, where the layered glass gives depth without mass. Murano glass and electroplated aluminium. Metal in silver-plated or blackened nickel; glass in crystal pulegoso or smoky grey.
