Ala Chair
Starting with its name, Ala - designed by Giuseppe Casarosa - conveys a sense of lightness. An essential and geometric structure entirely made from solid American walnut or ash wood. The straight-cut stiles widen at the top to contain the flush padded backrest. A wider front base gives it a unique trapezoid shape. The padded backrest is composed of a poplar plywood frame...
Available in two versions: with or without armrests. In the former one, the armrests are wider at the front than at the back, like an elegant embrace. A multitude of wood finishes and upholstery options - fabric, leather or natural leather - allow for endless expressions of style, making it easy to pair with the table designs from the catalog.

DESIGNED BY
Giuseppe Casarosa
Giuseppe Casarosa, Pisa in 1957. Graduated at ISIA in 1980 and continued his studies at the International University of Art in Florence. Interested in applied technologies and projects at 360 degrees; he designed boats, greenhouses for seasonal crops, machines for computing centers, small home appliances and of course furniture. Periodically he is called to take lessons in design schools. In 2008, a reflection on consumerism and sustainability brings him to stop the profession. He retires and lives on a boat for two years. In 2011, he is the founder and member of “Superevo” newco, manufacturer of innovative structures for upholstered items and supplies the most important brands of furniture. He currently lives between Cascina and Island of Capraia in Tuscany.
