The Edmond modular sofa system has shaped backrests and carefully calibrated seat depth, with internal seat and back structures made of solid spruce, particle board panels, and wood plywood, padded with variable-density polyurethane foam and covered in cotton-polyester fibre velveteen.
The seat structure includes elastic straps and painted steel feet with non-slip plastic ferrules supporting the modular elements.

Vincent Van Duysen is a Belgian architect and designer. He was born in Lokeren, Belgium in 1962 and studied architecture at the Sint-Lucas School of Architecture in Ghent. After graduating, he worked with Aldo Rossi and then established his own firm, Vincent Van Duysen Architects. His work is known for its focus on functionality, durability, and comfort.
